Cummins ISX15 engine Assembly 565hp
The EPA 2024 Cummins ISX15 engine Assembly 565hp Performance Series offers more than just power and drivability.
Its proven hardware ensures rugged durability, while ongoing enhancements have led to reliable performance that brings peace of mind to trucking operations.
With the best “Percent Zero Touch” and the lowest “Touches Per Thousand” metrics we’ve seen to date, Cummins anticipates this trend will continue with the 2024 X15 product lineup.
Cummins also provides the most extended service intervals in the industry, helping you stay on the road and out of the service bay, ultimately contributing to a lower total cost of ownership.
Cummins’ EPA24 X15 offers a proprietary, prognostic-based maintenance monitoring system that utilizes the expertise and ingenuity of Cummins’ engineering teams, combined with millions of miles of testing data, to deliver life-remaining forecasts on engine consumables, including oil, oil filter, stage 2 fuel filter, DPF, and urea filter.
This technology utilizes proprietary algorithms, expansive datasets, OilGuardTM insights, and virtual sensor data to accurately forecast the appropriate change intervals for filters and oil through an easy-to-understand life-remaining prediction.
The 2024 X15 gives you the confidence to improve your business without sacrificing anything.

**Features & B****Benefits**
- **VGT Turbocharger**: This highly reliable and precise design allows for rapid acceleration.
- **XPI Fuel System**: This is a high-pressure fuel system that enables multiple injection events per cycle, resulting in industry-leading fuel economy and quieter operation.
- **Single-Module™ Aftertreatment System**: A compact and lightweight system that offers increased ash capacity and extended maintenance intervals.
- **Fleetguard Fuel and Lube Filters**: These filters have superior holding capacity, providing better protection and allowing for longer service intervals.
- **High-Capacity Electronic Control Module**: This module fully integrates data inputs from all subsystems, optimizing overall performance.
- **Cummins Engine Brake**: Provides up to 600 horsepower for braking. this is the most powerful engine brake in the industry, reducing wear on service brakes and lowering replacement costs.
**New Hardware**
The new engine lineup will include a new wastegate turbocharger, which simplifies air management and eliminates the need for a costly variable geometry turbo.
To maintain. Improvements in the power cylinder reduce lubrication consumption, and a new outside diameter biased liner was implemented, decreasing wear between the liner and block. Moreover, a more economical water pump design reduces parasitic losses, and improved seals further minimize losses.
The XPI fuel pump system has been upgraded for enhanced durability. Better drivetrain integration between the X15 and other components, achieved through a new engine control module (ECM) and associated software, has resulted in improved fuel economy and driveability.
.
This engine is compatible solely with a drivetrain that features an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
The integration of control systems within the drivetrain facilitates a high level of data flow crucial for the engine management systems to access efficiency gains.
The target RPM at cruising speeds is set between 1350 to 1450 RPM.
Mike states, “We’ve meticulously forecasted fuel usage. Our software algorithms are calibrated to the specific gravity of fuel in Australia, which differs from that in North America, maintaining accuracy within two percent across all duty cycles."
"One concern is the high percentage of AdBlue used, which can reach up to nine percent in certain applications. We intentionally opted not to use Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), which allows us to achieve an incremental five percent increase in engine performance but may result in higher AdBlue consumption."
"On a per-liter basis, the costs are comparable, but AdBlue is a third of the price of diesel. We designed the AdBlue trade-off to align with the carrying capacity of typical truck tanks, ensuring that trucks have enough AdBlue to travel from Melbourne to Brisbane, for example.”
Engine braking on the Efficiency Series has been enhanced across the entire RPM range. The most significant increase in retardation occurs in the mid-range, from around 1400 RPM to over 1700 RPM.
The engine will be governed to 1800 RPM, and it's suitable for rear axle ratios between 3.21:1 to 3.9:1. The 14.9-liter engine will weigh 1327 kg, while the after-treatment system will weigh 85 kg, which is less than 40 kg higher than the Euro 5 system.
The Efficiency Series aims to deliver improved performance and efficiency for operators.have two horsepower ratings: 550 hp (405kW) and 580 hp (427kW). Both engines' torque is 2050 ft-lb (2780Nm), which many believe is the sweet spot for fuel economy in B-double line haul applications.
